A quiet talk with Houdini (Zero)

The morning air was fillined with soft sound of Pidgeys off into the distance. A few Sandshrews scuddled across the road just outside of the small town of Cerulian City. Nevena walks quietly through her hometown with a smile on her face and her Alakazam Houdini floating beside her. They're greated warmly as they walk down the main road by the bike shop owner and Nurse Joy.
'Don't you just love living here?'
She asked Houdini via her telepathic connection to him.
'I do quiet enjoy it. The towns people are quiet friendly, and the nice calming atmoshpere is the perfect place to begin our team.'
'We need a lot more members. All this madness the Team Rocket and all the others have caused is completely unexceptable. We need to end this as soon as we can.'
'I could not agree more. I hate to see my brotheren falling into the evil hands of people who miss treat them and abuse them. The team and I support you through this all the way.'
Nevena smiled and put her hand softly on Houdini's head.

A raging battle could be heard by a sound of powerful forces clashing against each other and flash could be seen flickering. As a thud of the opponents pokemon fell fainted on the ground, and Umbreon landed on the ground in a battle stance. Its trainer was Zero...Zero Kisaragi the new Champion of the Kanto region lifting his cap up his head with his index finger and he smiled a little at his partner "Nice work buddy" he said
"Bre Bre..."
Umbreon pranced to Zero hopping on his shoulder nuzzling into him, then slouched forward with its paws on Zero's shoulder. As the opposite trainer return his fainted pokemon to its ball, he felt proud of himself battling the Champ.
"Cool battle if you wanna go for it again...you know where I am" Zero said walking off rubbing his partner's head gently being proud of his Pokemon
"Lets get you to Cerulian City and rest ok" his partner nodded as Zero began to walk lowering his cap to hide himself sort of since he was the champ of the Kanto region as he made his way.

'Nevena look, it seems a battle is going on.'
The brownish/blonde haired girl looked up and saw the flashes and heard the cries of pokemon off in the distance. She and Houdini began to make their way toward the battle but when they made it there it was laready over. the victor walking away. Nevenas eyes began to gleam a little bit as she saw the black and yellow Umbreon sitting on the boys shoulder. It was her all time favorite of all the Eeveelutions, but all she could manage to get from the Eeve she found and was right now staying with her father, was a Flareon. She walks over and tries to stop the trainer.
"Excuse me! I just wanted to say, that's one of the most gorgeous Umbreons I've ever seen. Do you mind if I hold him?"
She asks in an almost pleading voice, assuming that it was a boy since most Eevees were male.

Zero was walking petting his Umbreon till a girl approached him, with brownish blonde colored teen girl was watching them. He tilted his head at her with his dark red eyes with a surprised look he thought she was a Team Rocket member and he was gonna send her down into the ground extra hard. It only seem she wanted to hold his partner Umbreon he look at him then back at the girl "Um...sure I guess" he said looking back at Umbreon shrugging then took ahold of Umbreon with both hands walking closer to her smiling at her holding Umbreon out to her "Be nice Umbreon".

Nevena takes Umbreon gently and holds him, softly stroking his fur.
"Oh his fur's so soft, I love Umbreon. It's my favorite evolution of Eevee. I wish I had one. I love my Flareon though."
She smiles at Umbreon and softly scratches behind his ears.
"Hi buddy! I just know you're trainers being good to you, you look so healthy and happy."
Houdini lands on the ground and looks up at Zero, nodding to him and then looking up at Nevena.
'What do you think?'
'Well, his Umbreon seems happy, and most likely so are his other pokemon. Let's try and talk to him.'

Zero looks at her then at Umbreon purring in her arms
"Thats good a Flareon is one of the strong fire types in the world, you should be lucky having one"
He smiled fixing his cap, which was kinda of a habit to him he wasn't really the talking type other then being the cool type.
"He always was ever since he met me, he always like the night time I walk with him evey night"
Zero then notices a Alakazam nearby standing next to her, he got cautious a little bit but then looked to the sky closing his eyes as a breeze blew by him
"Its such a nice day"

Nevena smiles at Zero and gently hands Umbreon back to him.
"Yes it is. I was just talking a nice walk with my Alakazam Houdini here when we saw your battle. You're a very good trainer."
She says nodding to him.
"That being said, I have a propisition for you. Have you heard of a newly formed orginization called Team Nova?"
She askes, Houdini pointing to a tall building off into the distance by the moutains just beyond the Cerulian City bridge. Indicating that as Team Nova's head quarters.

Zero takes Umbreon gently then puts him on his shoulder.
"Heh Thanks...I am after all the reigning Kanto Champion...I have to battle as much as I could"
He said nuzzling his hand with Umbreon head, hearing the girl giving him a propisition for him about the newly organization called Team Nova
"Let me guess you want me to join right....I don't know , you sound like that Team Rocket people I fought on the cruise ship that sunk.... boy was that a party, I lead a whole army of Trainers to take them down" he said as Umbreon nuzzled against Zero's neck.
"I had enough fame for one year, but I'll think about it" he said looking up the road "But for now I gotta get to Cerulian City Pokemon Center...see ya nice meeting you" he said tilting his cap towards the girl walking up the road to the cool mist filled city.

Nevena walks quickly after him.
"No! We're nothing like those monsters at Team Rocket. We're here to help those who need it. If you'll just allow me to explain."

Zero turned his head to the side a little bit squinting his eyes a little bit
"She's persisant"
He thought ready to say something
"Why do you need me, Im just a lucky teen who champion....Im no use to you...I figure you got and whole army of Trainers telling by the size of that building"
He said still unsure, facing the road walking to the city.

Zero keeps walking seeing the opening to Cerulean City, then he stopped turning his head sideways looking at her scoffing then scratches his cheek scoffing
"Meet me at your so called base, show me around and I'll give you an full answer I gotta get to the center, my team is really beat" he said giving a true statement and excuse to think about this whole team business
He was glad a girl came up to him but giving him a propasal to join a team that know one knows about, he was really glad she didn't know his name.
"Come on Umbreon let get you some rest" he said as Umbreon was sound asleep on his shoulder.

Nevena nods and as they re-enter the city, turns and walks over Cerulian bridge. Houdini floats by her side and asks her
"Do you really think he'll make a good addition?'
'Yes, he's very strong, and I have a feeling that he'll be good as a Lt. Maybe even one of my captains.'

Zero walks to the Pokemon center, then walks to the counter greeting nurse joy and the chancey up front as the cool air woke up Umbreon.
"Hello can you treat my Pokemon team for today...thank you" he said as he reaches to the back of his belt placing his 4 pokeballs on the tray, then took the pokeball from his necklace then placed Umbreon down also.
"I'll be back for you soon ok" he said petting Umbreon gently as it smiled and purred at him.
Zero walked out the center smiling with his hands in his pockets "Whooo....thristy" he said knowing where to go to get some he walked up the street to get to the store that had the best quality water.

Nevena continues walking north, Houdini following her closely. They reach the building and sit out front, she wonders if and when Zero would show up. As she sits by the doors, Archibald her large Pidgeot, flew from his roost at the top of the building and landed by his master. Nevena smiles and hugs Archibald warmly.
"Hey buddy you're back from the Hoenn region already?"
"Pi! Pidgeot!!"

After a while Zero came out the store with a bottle of water walking towards it drinking some of it from time to time while walking to the center then he looks at the tall building of the so called Team Nova reside.
"ugh....why can't girls ask boys out instead like the usual" he said rubbing the top of his cap "I guess it can't be help" he sighed as he walked into the center again retriving his team with a sincere thank you the nurses.
As he walked out with Umbreon on his shoulder "Ok buddy we gotta get to the tall building and we know just the friend to help us" he said as he loosens his pokeball from his necklace then pressed the button running forward then jumps opening his pokeball "Dragonite...Lets Fly!" he said as Dragonite swooped down catching Zero soaring into the sky.
"Roo!"
It cried as Umbreon sat on Dragonite's head and Zero stood up on Dragonite's back crossing his arms "Full speed ahead Dragonite" he said as it soared with its wings towards the Nova base.

Nevena laughs as Archibald nudges her head affectionalty then he turns and begins talking with Houdini. Nevena looks up to see a Dragonite high in the air and smiles.
"So he did decide to come.."
She says to herself as she stands up and walks out into the open area. She waves to him, indicating that she was outside and that he didn't have to go inside to hunt for her.

Zero looked below seeing the same unknown girl that he met in a open area in front of the building.
"Dragonite take over buddy"
Dragonite flew down then lowered losing altitude then Umbreon hopped on Zero shoulder, knowing what Zero was gonna do and Umbreon was right with him they always jumped in their journey like it was a bad habit.
"Ready....3...2..1 Lets go"
On 'go' Zero jumped as soon Dragonite zipped over her Zero landed on the ground in front of her and his cap fell on top of the girl's head and his black hair bangs flipped in his face.
"Ah I hate it when that happens" Zero looks up and returned Dragonite to its ball "Thanks for the fly buddy" he said connecting the pokeball to his necklace then looked at the girl.
"Well we're here" he said looking at his cap on her head.

Nevena laughs as his cap lands on her head. She takes it off and offers it to him along with a hand to help him back up.
"You're form was good, but the landing I have to give atleast a 4."
She laughs again.
"So you have a Dragonite huh? I have a Dragonair, she's a big prima-donna."

Zero grunts to get up then stretches a little
"Yeah well trying jumping out a cruise and a volcano and geting hospitalized......I guest my luck has been down the drain lately"
He said seeing her handing his cap to him, he gently takes it then places it on his head
"So lets get this over with...cause Im beat" he said ready to follow her

"Alright, first allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nevena Saintclaire, founder and Leader of Team Nova. What we do here is, we liberate pokmeon from bad trainers, and fight against Team Rocket in order to try and release the countless pokemont hey, and other evil orginizations across the globe have taken. And now-"
She says, taking the other four pokeballs from her waist.
"Let me introduce you to my team mates and friends!"
She throws the pokeballs intot he air and out come the rest of her team mates beside her Alakazam.
"You already know my Alakazam Houdini. This is my Pidgeot Archibald. My Dragonair Crystal. My Nidoqueen Jasmine. My Sandslash Dustin. And last, but most certainly not the least, my Venasaur Iris."

Zero looked at her putting a hand up closing his eyes listening to her saying the same thing from before.
"Yes yes I know you kick the evil where the sun don't shine I know" he said laughing a bit then seeing her taking her pokeballs out introducing her pokemon to him.
"Huh well whatda ya know?....you have such a strong team......I kinda expected this from the owner of Team Nova" he said dropping a bombshell on her, he already knew who she was but he didn't know her name though.
Zero reached back pulling out 4 pokeballs in between his fingers of his right hand then the necklace one "Since you showed me your team, Im gonna show ya mine" then threw them in the air "Im not the champions they are" he said as Umbreon jumped out in front as Zero's teamed appeared around him
"You know my buddies Umbreon and Dragonite....this is Gengar, Primeape, Nidorino and my coolest water pokemon Golduck" he said as they all cheered

"Oh Gengar and Golduck. Goldcuk's a very good water and Psycic type, Gengar's really strong and also can be very crafty. And a Primape, that's a nice touch. I always thought they were a better fighitng type then Machops any day."
The she looked down at Nidorino and smiles softly, getting down to Nidorino's level.
"You remind me of Jasmine when she was just a Nidorina. Oh, that takes me back. That was before I even challenged the second Gym."
Jasmine waddled forward and smiles at Nidorino from behind Nevena. Remembering ehrself how she'd been caught by Nevena way back when, and now she had all the wonderful memories of their journey together.

Zero looked down at his Nidorino in front of the Nidoqueen called Jasmine then the unknown girl behind it.
"And Jasmine reminds me having fun with this guy, he was abandoned and injure, he have been through alot and I have taken him ever since" He said kneeling down patting him on the head.
Zero looked at Jasmine then at the girl standing behind her.
"And then it was the battle with Sabrina...and now she reform into a nice girl thanks to Gengar" he said as Gengar jumped on Zero's shoulders cheer with the mischevious grin on its face.

Nevena laughs softly.
"Oh Sabrina, she was tough to beat with my team. Especially since I had to have Jasmine and Iris wait at the pokemon center so they wouldn't get hurt. Btu anyway, shall we start the tour of the building?"
